Are EASAOnline Part 66 Training Courses approved by any Regulatory Authority?

There is currently no online Part 66 training which is approved by any regulatory authority (or EASA Direct).

Please consider that under EASA Part 147 requirements, all exams must be invigilated to verify the identity of the student, to ensure that time constraints are complied with and to ensure that no additional study material “documents” are present during the examination.

In order to maintain the highest possible standards we are pleased to announce that EASAOnline.com is supported by European Aviation Institute (EAI) - an EASA Part 147 approved Maintenance Training Organization (MTO) with Certificate of Approval No RO.147.0003.

What we (EASAOnline and European Aviation Institute "EAI") offer is an online experience, as part of your self-study initiative, to help prepare you for your (formal) Part 66 module examination.

You will complete an online training with or without voice over as you choose. Then you will complete an online examination and print you certificate of competence. The online examination is representative of the Part 66 standard you will be expected to meet.

What happens when I complete the EOL Part 66 module and I have a Certificate?

The certificate you have achieved through EOL is a certificate of competence, once you are ready then you will be able to apply for and sit the module exam with our 147 partner (EAI) either in Romania or at one of our remote locations (this is a separate exam and will count towards your license).

This examination is taken under EASA examination conditions and will provide you with a Part 66 Module certificate which will count towards your license and be valid for 10 years

For details of how you may apply to take module exams under EASA Part 147 conditions please email office@sassofia.com

Can I get an Aircraft Maintenance License through passing EOL exams?

Unfortunately not (but this is not the purpose of PART 66 online with EOL) The purpose of EOL is to help you prepare for your formal license exam. If you understand how Part 66 works you will know that exams are taken under exam conditions, with an examiner present, to make sure that you are the person who you say you are (by showing Passport etc.) plus to check that you have no other material with you during the examination.

Does EASAOnline DG Awareness Training require regulatory approval by our CAA?

The training we offer is fully compliant with the latest revision of IATA DG regulations. We are currently approved by both the Bulgarian CAA and by the Thai Civil Aviation Authority. In many cases the Regulatory authority accepts the organisation to approve itself in accordance with a procedure and to a standard acceptable to the Authority the awareness training SAS & EOL will fully support this activity typically support in conjunction with the Quality Assurance Department. In cases where the CAA wish to personally approve the course we provide access for this purpose.

What are the organizational obligations regarding EASA Compliant 145 organization courses?

Under the EASA system it is the responsibility of the organization to ensure that any training is compliant not just with EASA regulations but also with the internal competence management and oversight requirements of the Organization. All EASAOnline training courses are based on material provided by Sofema Aviation Services (SAS) www.sassofia.com and are intended to be fully compliant with the regulations. However please note it is for the receiving organization to ensure that the material meets your needs. To support this obligation if you sign up 5 or more delegates for a single training we will also provide an additional access for a nominated quality auditor to assess the training. (In this way you as an organization can ensure the training meets your expectations, in addition it will enable you to demonstrate you have audited the material which is part of the 145 audit program). Such access will provided before you pay for the training (we are confident that our training is compliant and we want to support you in the best way possible). If you have less than 5 persons who wish to take the training we suggest you initially pay for a single course and use it for the purpose of internal approval.

May I suggest changes to the EOL courses?

We are very happy when our delegates suggest improvements or changes and if we can embrace the suggestion we usually act in a proactive way. It is our objective to continually improve our product and to do so we need your help and support.
